Overall tweets with the official AUA hashtag during the meeting dates increased 35,000% from 2011 to 2013 and 250% from 2013 to 2015.
Total impressions, a measure of how far-reaching tweets can be based on followers of the author, increased to over 23 million in 2015.
Overall, this data supports the idea that social media can dramatically increase the dissemination of conference proceedings.
