NAFC offers free online events during National Bladder Health Week

BERKELEY, CA USA (Press Release) - Newswise - November 7, 2012 - The National Association For Continence (NAFC) is hosting free educational events during National Bladder Health Week. Bladder Health Week occurs every year during the second full week in November. This year Bladder Health Week will be held from November 12 – 16.

Educational webinars, Twitter chats and video chats are some of the Bladder Health Week events. Each event occurs online so participants can partake from the comfort of their home. More information about each event and registration instructions can be found on the Bladder Health Awareness website. Each day of Bladder Health Week targets one type of bladder health issue:

More information about Bladder Health week can be found on the Bladder Health Facebook page, Twitter account, YouTube channel and Pinterest account.

The public can get involved by educating their friends and family about this health observance, as so many Americans are living with incontinence, voiding dysfunction and related pelvic floor issues. Those who would like to help promote Bladder Health Week online can use the tools in the Get Going Toolkit. Facebook posts, Twitter tweets, web badges and infographics are located in this toolkit and can be shared easily.

NAFC revamped its Bladder Health Awareness Campaign in 2011, creating a new website educating site visitors about symptoms, causes and treatment options for bladder control problems. New multi-media tools and social media networks have been launched and dedicated to people with bladder health issues and their caregivers who are looking to connect with health care professionals and to each other.
