Immunotherapy has demonstrated activity in metastatic penile cancer. Shan and colleagues report encouraging safety, efficacy, and tolerability of perioperative chemoimmunotherapy in advanced disease. While these results are promising, they underscore the urgent need for randomized trials to define the role and timing of immunotherapy in this rare and lethal disease.
