BCG at Home: A First-in-kind Trial of Home-based Intravesical Bacillus Calmette-Guérin Delivery for High-risk Non-muscle-invasive Bladder Cancer.

We present, for the first time, a prospective trial of Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) at home. We implemented a training program for nurses and used a special device that allows sterile delivery of BCG to the home setting. Using a texting chatbot allowed us to capture patient-reported outcomes and symptoms in real time. In our analysis of the first eight patients, we found that treating the BCG at home was safe and effective.
