BCAN is also accepting submission for its Patient-Centered Clinical Research Young Investigator Award (PCC-YIA). Investigators who are working in a research environment supporting transformational patient-oriented clinical bladder cancer research are encouraged to apply. Examples of patient-centered research include studies of shared decision making, access to care, quality of care, quality of life, health disparities, comparative effectiveness research, patient-centered outcomes research, and survivorship.
To be eligible. applicants for both awards must be within six years of completion of a professional degree or clinical training at the time of submission.
“We are pleased to offer these awards to drive novel approaches to bladder cancer research to the early-career researcher community,” said Andrea Maddox-Smith, Chief Executive Officer of BCAN. “We are deeply grateful to our generous donors for enabling us to invest promising scientists and researchers. Without them, these awards would not be possible.”These four awards will provide $50,000 each to support one year of research. Interested applicants must submit a research proposal by 5:00 PM (ET) on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, and should review the 2022 award guidelines for complete eligibility and application requirements below.
