The last 3 years have seen tremendous advances in the management of urinary tract stones in children. Technological advances and miniaturisation of equipment and instruments have made it possible to treat larger stones in younger children. Focus is now being made in controlling intrarenal pressures and temperatures to minimise sepsis and complications. The future of paediatric stone management is looking increasingly promising.
