Laparoscopic Radical Prostatectomy with the Simultaneous Implant of a Penile Prosthesis: Ten Years Follow Up - Beyond the Abstract

The idea of performing this operation comes from breast surgery, where after the removal, surgeons always proceed with immediate or remote reconstructive surgery, which usually only happens after 2 years in the case of radical prostatectomy.

Previously performed in open surgery, the combined technique of radical prostatectomy and contemporary positioning of penile prosthesis can now be implemented both in laparoscopy and in robotic surgery with a 10-year oncological safety as demonstrated by our study.
