While there has been literature demonstrating a benefit to the addition of ADT to salvage radiotherapy, no study has addressed the role of this combined treatment approach in patients with recurrence disease diagnosed by 68Ga-PSMA PET.

This procedure is performed among 1/3 of prostate cancer cases for men in the United States. With treatment, mortality rates for prostate cancer decrease which puts an emphasis on a treatment’s side effects.

Mohammad Siddiqui and colleagues presenting results of their study investigating whether the presence of capsular ‘abutment’ on pre-operative mpMRI is an indication of prostate pathology in cancerous forms. Read alone on MRI, the presence or absence of “capsular abutment” was a poor indicator of extra-prostatic extension on final pathology.

Active Surveillance for Low-Risk Prostate Cancer: Time Trends and Variation in the AUA Quality (AQUA) Registry
