G. Willy Davila, MD, FACOG
G. Willy Davila, MD, FACOG is Chairman of the Department of Gynecology and Head of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida in Weston, Florida. He also serves as Director of the Fellowship training program in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery.

Dr. Davila received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston and completed his residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and a gynecological urology clinical preceptorship at Long Beach Memorial Hospital at the University of California.

He serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Female Urinary Incontinence and International Urogynecology Journal. He is also a reviewer for the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Obstetrics and Gynecology among others. He has co-authored 2 textbooks entitled Pelvic Floor Dysfunction: A Multidisciplinary Approach and Practical Guide to Female Pelvic Medicine. Dr. Davila is the Secretary-Treasurer of the International Urogynecologic Association, the premier international urogynecologic professional society. He has directed numerous postgraduate education courses and lectures extensively in the US and internatioanlly. Dr. Davila’s current research interests include surgical management of genital prolapse and urinary incontinence in women.

Joachim W. Thüroff, MD
Professor and Chairman
Joachim Thüroff graduated from Medical School of Philipps University, Marburg. He received his urology training in Mainz, Germany, St. Gallen, Switzerland and at the University of California, San Francisco (fellowship in neurourology). Since 1997, Joachim Thüroff is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Urology, Johannes Gutenberg University Medical School in Mainz.

Joachim Thüroff was President of the German Association of Urology (DGU) 2003-2004. He is President Elect of the Société Internationale d`Urologie (SIU) and is a board member of the European Association of Urology (EAU) and chairman of the EAU-Research Foundation. He is a member in many national and international medical societies including the society of Pelvic Surgeons (SPS) and the American Association of Genitourinary Surgeons (AAGUS). He serves on the Editorial Board of several peer-reviewed urological journals including Neurourology and Urodynamics, Der Urologe, Aktuelle Urologie and is Associate Editor of Urology (Oncology) and Associate Editor of BJUI (Surgery Illustrated).

Area of interest: Dr. Thüroff`s clinical and research interests include neurourology and urodynamics, female urology, pediatric urology and reconstructive urology.
