Predicting survival of men with prostate cancer after radical prostatectomy- Axel Merseburger

The presentations listed here were made at the 6th Symposium on the Treatment of Prostate Cancer (STOP-6), which was held in Lisbon, Portugal between the 14th and 16th October.

Dr. Axel Merseburger presentation on predicting survival of men with prostate cancer after radical prostatectomy reviews the traditional pre-operative predictors in addition to the combination of pre and post operative clinical variables.  Dr. Merseburger also presents data on the incorporation of imaging technique and novel molecular biomarkers into the existing models that may help guide treatment choices.

Biography:
Axel S. Merseburger is currently Chairman of the Clinic of Urology at University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein in Lübeck, Germany, having previously served as Vice Chairman of the Department of Urologic Oncology and Director of the Urologic Oncology Programme at Hannover Medical School, Germany.
