Tamara Bavendam talks with Diane Newman about preventing women’s urology issues and she shares details about her research consortium she initiated with the goal of developing the evidence base for the field of bladder with hopes to eventually have the evidence to tell physicians and clinicians how to prevent bladder problems in women. 

Biographies:

Tamara Bavendam MD, Program director of Women’s Urology and is currently serving as a project scientist for Prevention of Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (PLUS) Research Consortium for the Division of Kidney, Urologic, & Hematologic Diseases.  Her program supports clinical, translational, and basic research projects about the functioning of the lower urinary tract in both children and adults.
