Prostate cancer (PC) in the transition zone (TZ) has better prognosis than peripheral-zone (PZ) PC despite higher prostate-specific antigen (PSA) in patients with TZ tumors. Our aim was to characterize molecular differences between TZ and PZ tumors and their clinical implications.
