Results after radical prostatectomy (RP) are generally judged by complete removal of the cancer, return of urinary control, and the ability to have intercourse. Given the complexity of the anatomy of the prostate and its relationship to the surrounding nerves, muscles, and fascia, RP is considered a challenging and technically demanding surgery.
