Objectives: To assess the pathological outcomes following radical prostatectomy (RP) in men with favorable-risk PCa diagnosed on their first/initial (IBPx) compared to men who were diagnosed on a subsequent/repeat (RPBx) prostate biopsy.

MRI-ultrasound fusion-targeted prostate biopsy (MRF-TB) may improve detection of prostate cancer (PCa) in men presenting for prostate biopsy. We report clinical outcomes of 12-core systematic biopsy (SB) and MRF-TB in men presenting for primary biopsy and further describe pathological characteristics of cancers detected by SB and not by MRF-TB.

We present the case of a 49-year-old man, who developed Mycobacterium abscessus complex (M. abscessus complex) bacteremia and prostatitis after prostate biopsy. The patient was successfully treated with amikacin with imipenem-cilastatin with clarithromycin.
