BERKELEY, CA (UroToday.com) - This paper raises the very unpleasant possibility that testosterone recovery can stimulate the growth of metastatic tumour deposits that have not been eradicated by prior adjuvant androgen suppression therapy in men treated curatively for locally advanced cancers who have apparently negative scans for metastases. Three-month durations of androgen suppression should be used cautiously in the adjuvant setting.
The reviewers of this paper liked the short review provided in the electronic appendix...please take a look at it.
