Penile urethroplasty using dorsal Orandi's skin flap: a new technique.

To describe, step by step, a new one-stage dorsal skin flap urethroplasty for penile strictures repair.

The surgery was accomplished through a midline incision on the ventral penile surface, the urethra was fully dissected from the corpora cavernosa and longitudinally opened along its dorsal surface. A penile skin island, based on dartos fascial flap, was dissected and moved over the corpora cavernosa and the urethra was moved and sutured over the penile skin flap.

Out of 12 patients, 10 (83.3%) were classified successful, and 2 (16.7%) failures. The operative time was 60 minutes. There were no post-operative fistula or urethral diverticulum.

Our modified Orandi's technique was easy and feasible, allowing to avoid fistula and diverticulum formation after repair.
