AUA 2011 - Demographics and clinical characteristics of the RICE IC/BPS cohort - Session Highlights

WASHINGTON, DC USA (UroToday.com) - The latest data from the Rand Interstitial Cystitis Epidemiology (RICE) survey compared the RICE community cohort with a smaller, more traditional IC/BPS clinical cohort. Sandra Berry from Rand and her colleagues noted striking demographic, symptomatic and quality of life similarities between the two groups. The small cohort used for the comparison was recruited from specialist practices across the United States. The information adds to the validity of the RICE methodology.
