Congenitial Anomalies of Penis: This book provides comprehensive but concise data for congenital diseases of the penis, explaining the embryological and anatomical background, incidence, historical background, investigation approaches, imaging and management of each condition. 

The book is organised in themed parts, starting from embryology and normal anatomy and examining anomalies for each anatomical part: prepuce, penis, urinary meatus, penile urethra with a final part of acquired penile diseases with congenital background. With clear illustrations in each chapter to explain each condition in detail, online animations for the difficult and complex cases are also provided. The author is a pioneer pediatric surgeon with over 30 years’ experience in the field of genitourinary anomalies. BIO Prof Mohamed Abdel Baky Fahmy, MD, FRCS, Professor of Pediatric Surgery, Al Azher University, Cairo, Egypt. He graduated from Al Azher University and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and trained in the field of pediatric surgery at Egypt and Manchester, UK. He is the founder and chief of the pediatric surgery departments at Al Galae materni.ty and children’s hospital and Al Zahrae University hospital and faculty of medicine for girls, Al Azher University, Cairo.

He had a wide experience for more than 30 years in the field of pediatric surgery with a special interest in pediatric urology, rare genitourinary anomalies, pediatric gynae.cology, and Hirschsprung’s disease. He is a member of the British Association of Pedi.atric Surgeons since June 1994 and the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), Global Rare Disease Registry (GRDR), and the American Association of Academic Surgery.

He was the secretary general of the Egyptian Pediatric Surgical Association “EPSA.” He is an Editor-in-Chief, Journal of Pediatric Diseases, PiscoMed Publishing Ltd, and co-editor for many international journals: Advances in Bioscience and Clinical Medi.cine, Annals of Pediatric Surgery, Medical Journal of Case report (Bio Med), Medi.cine Journal and World Journal of Paediatrics. He had a wide range of international publications, and he is an innovator of opera.tions and procedures in pediatric surgery and pediatric urology, with a special empha.sis on his technique for continent urinary diversion for children with failed repair for bladder exstrophy, which was published in the International Journal of Surgery (2007) and republished recently in the Journal of pediatric urology (2015). He is the author of a recently published Illustrative textbook “Rare Congenital Geni.tourinary Anomalies”, Springer, 2016.
