TAT-11: Advances in the Radiolabeling of Antibodies with Astatine-211: Toward Simplified Procedures and Improved Radiochemical Yields

Ottawa, ON, Canada (UroToday.com) Dr. Gestin began by noting that iodonium salts are highly reactive with astatine. They have proceeded to develop two astatinated prosthetic groups based on tetrazine and azide functional for high yield "click chemistry" labeled conjugates. These are easily transferred for monoclonal antibody labeling. For example, IEDDA and SPAAC reactions give yields of about 90%.
