Repeated intravesical OnabotulinumtoxinA injections were studied and found to decreases the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor which plays an important role in the pathogenesis of IC/BPS. They knowledged, that there is no study that looked at the local experience in Saudi Arabia.

They used eight Dorset retired breeder, female ewes (160-175 pounds). Under general anesthesia, ewes have been positioned on their backs (dorsal recumbency) to mimic lithotomy position.

According to the presenters, rUTIs are highly prevalent in all ages and socioeconomic groups, but there is no universal treatment framework to guide healthcare providers. An antibiotic prescription is one of the primary therapies, but type, dosage, and length of administration vary across practices.
