VISION

Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) is committed to being a national leader in advancing human health through the integration of patient care, research, education, and community service. BCM’s commitment to the education of physicians extends from under-graduate education, through residency and fellowship training, to education for practicing physicians. The Office of Continuing Medical Education maintains oversight responsibility for the planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of all continuing medical education (CME) activities sponsored and/or offered by BCM in order to ensure that the requirements of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, American Medical Association, and other applicable regulatory bodies are met.

PURPOSE

The purpose of BCM’s CME program is to provide high quality, evidence-based educational activities that fulfill identified needs to support life-long learning and assist in changing the knowledge, competence, and performance of physicians in making practice and system changes in the health care delivery environment to contribute to institutional efforts to improve patient health and outcomes.
