The widespread use of computed tomography as a diagnostic procedure has led to an increase in the detection of small asymptomatic renal masses. Partial nephrectomy is the standard of care for the treatment of these tumours and laparoscopic partial nephrectomy is gaining acceptance as the preferred approach [1], [2].
