On behalf of our Association and the Organizing Committee it is our great pleasure to invite you to the 9th BAU congress, on 11-12 December 2009 in the Brabanthal in Leuven.

During this Congress, the latest developments in the urological field are presented and discussed by national and international experts. BAU2009 therefore is the ideal meeting platform for Belgian as well as other European urologists, where experiences and technical advances can be shared and compared.

The scientific programme of this year’s “State of the Art in Urology” edition includes scientific sessions and update lectures on Endoscopy, Laparoscopy & Robotics, on Functional & Paediatric Urology and on Minimal Invasive Therapies & Oncologic Urology. Prior to the congress, BAU Working Group sessions will cover aspects on Paediatrics, Oncology, Functional Urology, Laparoscopy, etc. We hope that many residents will submit abstracts for the poster contest.

A memorable highlight of the BAU2009 will be the Gala Dinner at the Faculty Club on Friday evening. This Dinner provides a chance to reflect on the Congress and offers an ideal opportunity to mingle and meet fellow delegates, to celebrate with colleagues in a casual setting, and to plan for the future.

As Leuven is one of the oldest university towns in Europe it is, besides rich in culture and tradition, a very attractive city that will surely enchant partners.
