In the past several years, a series of important developments in renal cell carcinoma have occured, and will change how this disease is treated. These include studies defining molecular targets, new approaches to minimally invasive surgery, and clinical development of a variety of novel treatments for advanced disease. Bringing together key individuals in the European countries who are working
with renal cell carcinoma, the Third European International Kidney Cancer Symposium seeks to provide a review of these developments and a forum for exchange of information as well as to put into perspective how these new developments will influence our approach to renal cell carcinoma.
