This course will examine the scope of the problem, from epidemiology and physiology to psychological and anatomical considerations. Common culprits will be discussed, including endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, irritable bowel syndrome and vulvodynia. The inter-disciplinary faculty panel will explore management through musculoskeletal evaluation, physical therapy and pain anesthesia. Medical and surgical treatment options will be presented. |
