Testicular Cancer
Penis and Urethra Cancer
Date: Thursday, February 21, 2008 At 01:00 AM
Duration: 3 Days

The National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology TM consist of a comprehensive set of guidelines detailing the sequential management decisions and interventions for the malignancies that affect 95% of all patients with cancer. Developed by faculty at NCCN Member Institutions using an evidence-based, consensus process the NCCN Guidelines Panels develop over 100 separate guidelines. The NCCN Guidelines are widely used in both the academic and community setting in the United States to define the standard for appropriate oncology care. The proposed symposium will be an in-depth analysis of the evidence and thought processes that led to the development of the specific recommendations in the NCCN guidelines. Topics will include diagnosis, staging work-ups with discussion of prognostic markers and the use of various therapies for breast, lung, colorectal, gastric, esophageal, and head and neck cancers. The format may include presentations of case reports and audience feedback to highlight applications of the guidelines in clinical practice. The local/regional experts will present the demographics of their patient populations and their customary state of the art management in the same disease types. Participants will be given the opportunity to comment on the NCCN guidelines with their developers and provide input for consideration in developing their own.

Physicians predominantly representing the region and examplified below will be invited to attend, although other countries not on this list will be represented:

• Afghanistan • Bahrain • Egypt • Ethiopia • Lebanon • Jordan • India • Oman • Pakistan • Saudia Arabia • Syria • Turkey • United Arab Emirates
