San Diego- A Practical Approach is designed both for professionals who have little or no experience with actual urodynamic testing procedures, and for those with some experience but who wish to become more comfortable with performing urodynamic testing. Participants will acquire the knowledge and skills to: Comprehend the need for urodynamic testing, Understand the components of urodynamic tests, Prepare the patient and the software (Patient positioning, Catheter placement, Taping techniques, Troubleshooting with the most common catheters - fluid, air-charged, and electronic), Run tests, Recognize artifact, Perform basic troubleshooting techniques. Laborie's one-day course offers a relaxed, comfortable environment away from the distractions of the busy clinic to concentrate on learning how to perform accurate urodynamic testing with minimal stress for you or your patient. International Continence Society standards are the guidelines for urodynamic studies. The teachings in these courses follow ICS guidelines for technique, annotation, and documentation.
