Course Objectives:
- to provide participants with a global understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the urinary system
- to explain the anatomy of the pelvic floor musculature and to describe its role in urinary continence
- to detail the major categories of urinary incontinence
- to provide an overview of the various aspects of the conservative approach to the treatment of urinary incontinence
- to explain the procedure for pelvic floor muscle testing
- to provide participants with an understanding of the nature and science of biofeedback and electrical stimulation
- to detail the pertinence and application of biofeedback and electrical stimulation in the treatment of urinary incontinence
