LONDON (Reuters) - Japan's Yamanouchi Pharmaceutical Co Ltd said on Monday that U.S. regulators had approved its urinary incontinence drug Vesicare (solifenacin), which will be co-promoted in the United States by GlaxoSmithKline Plc.
The drug is scheduled for launch in the U.S. market in January 2005, following the green light from the Food and Drug Administration, Yamanouchi said in a statement.
The U.S. approval had been expected, following one obtained in Europe where the product was launched in August.
