Position: Clinical Instructor
Minimally Invasive Urologic Surgery Education Fellowship:
A one-year fellowship position in minimally invasive urology education is available with the Department of Urology at the University of California, Irvine commencing July 1, 2006. Applicants must be American Board of Urology eligible and within two years of completing their urology residency training. The fellowship will include a junior faculty appointment as a Clinical Instructor in the UCI School of Medicine. The fellow will assist the Director of the Astellas Center for Urological Education in the operating room and will be responsible for laboratory training of community urologists, including work with VR simulators, pelvic trainers, animate labs, and the da Vinci® surgical robot. The fellow will have an opportunity to participate in laboratory research projects in minimally invasive surgery in conjunction with the Department of Urology Endourology Research Fellow. A California medical license is required prior to appointment. Salary is commensurate with experience.
