Cytomegalovirus Resistance Less in Valganciclovir-treated Transplant Patients

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - Valganciclovir, a prodrug of ganciclovir with increased bioavailability after oral administration, has been found in a multicenter study not to be associated with resistance mutations after prophylactic use in organ transplant recipients.
