INTRODUCTION AND HYPOTHESIS:Intravesical instillation of hyaluronic acid (HA) may restore the integrity of glycosaminoglycan layer in patients with painful bladder syndrome/interstitial cystitis (PBS/IC), and the benefit may be improved with addition of alkalinized lidocaine (AL).
