CANCUN, MEXICO (UroToday.com) - Coverage of the 25th Annual World Congress of Endourology and SWL - Cancun, Mexico - Thursday November 1st 2007

A group of surgical educators who have presented AUA Hands-On Laparoscopy courses demonstrated high “take rates” of 97% of respondents reporting that their laparoscopic practice had expanded after taking one of these courses. In addition, 75% reported to have sutured laparoscopically following one of these two day courses. (MP20-22) Most interestingly 80% of respondents reported performing standardized tasks under video taped analysis was helpful, and of those who purchased a pelvic trainer, 90% reported practicing on it regularly. Urologists are embracing the concept that practice makes perfect.
