Sodium Bicarbonate May Prevent Radiocontrast-induced Renal Injury
NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - Substituting a sodium bicarbonate solution for saline infusion prior to administration of radiocontrast material seems to reduce the incidence of nephropathy, according to a report in the Journal for the American Medical Association for May 19.
