BERKELEY, CA (UroToday.com) - An inguinal lymph node dissection (ILND) for penile carcinoma is associated with surgical morbidity. A long-standing issue in the staging of this disease is whether a dynamic sentinel lymph node biopsy (DSNB) is adequate to avoid the ILND. Dr. Spiess and associates at MD Anderson Cancer Center and collaborating institutions reported on this topic in the June 2007 issue of the Journal of Urology.
