ANAHEIM, CA (UroToday.com) - (ABST#314 - Kidney Cancer Basic Research II) The authors used a mouse model of RCC to determine the relative efficacy regarding local tumor control and survival outcomes for mice treated with cryoablation relative to radiofrequency ablation. While there was no significant difference in the survival of animals treated with cryoablation versus radiofrequency ablation, local tumor control was far superior for animals treated with cryoablation.
