The Department of Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Medicine seeks candidates for an Assistant or Associate Professor position in either the non-tenure clinician-educator track or the tenure track. Track and rank will be commensurate with experience. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of urology with a focus on minimally invasive and robotic surgery and urologic oncology. Responsibilities include surgical and non-surgical care of patients with general urological complaints; teaching of medical students and urology residents; and clinical research in a variety of urological disciplines. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Candidates must also be certified by the American Board of Urology or eligible to take Part 2 of the certifying process.
The clinical practice for this position will be housed primarily at Penn's Pennsylvania Hospital facility. The successful applicant will have demonstrated expertise in training residents and fellows and in overseeing residency/fellowship training programs. Interest in general urology and urologic oncology is required, and training in minimally invasive procedures and robotic surgery is preferred.
