Abstract -

Objectives:

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is considered a frequent cause of bladder outlet obstruction (BOO) and lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS), although the physiopathologic mechanism through which BPH causes LUTS is not clear.
