Jacquetin Bernard, MD, Professor
Prof. Bernard is currently the OBGYN Professor of Clermont-Ferrand Medicine Faculty, Auvergne University, France, Head of "Hotel-Dieu" Maternity, University Hospital of Clermont-Ferrand, and Chairman of the Clermont-Ferrand University Pole of OBGYN and Reproductive Medicine. He completed his medical training at Medecine Faculty of Clermont-Ferrand.
He is a member of European Association of Gynecology and Obstetrics, French National Society of OBGYN, International French speaking Urodynamic Society, French society of Gynecologic and Pelvic Surgery, European Uro Gynecology Association, International Consultation on Incontinence, American Urogynecologic Society, Society of Pelvic Reconstructive Surgeons

Linda Brubaker, MD, MS
Linda Brubaker, MD, MS, is an Assistant Dean of Clinical and Translational Research at Loyola University Chicago, USA. In addition to her research role, Dr. Brubaker is an international expert on Pelvic Organ Prolapse, having lead major clinical trials and contributed significantly to the literature in this area. Dr. Brubaker is the principal investigator for two large NIH clinical trials networks, the Pelvic Floor Disorders Network and the Urinary Incontinence Treatment Network. She speaks internationally on pelvic floor topics, clinical trials and surgical pelvic floor research.

Cathryn MA Glazener, MD, PhD
Dr Cathryn (Charis) Glazener graduated in Medicine at Dundee University in 1979 and joined the Health Services Research Unit at the University of Aberdeen in 1988 as a Health Services Research Training Fellow funded by the Wellcome Trust. She completed her postgraduate training in obstetrics and gynaecology in Aberdeen, gaining membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1986. At HSRU, she undertook an assessment of postnatal care, culminating in a PhD in 1999. She helped Adrian Grant to set up the Cochrane Incontinence Review Group, of which she is now one of the joint Co-ordinating Editors with James N’Dow. She became a Fellow of the RCOG in 2003 and a Reader at the University of Aberdeen in 2006.
Synopsis of areas of interest: Her research interests include urinary and faecal incontinence, prolapse, enuresis and postnatal issues such as maternal morbidity, infant health, and postnatal depression and adaptation.

Christopher Maher, MD, Professor
Associate Professor Christopher Maher is a certified Urogynaecologist working at the Wesley, Royal Women’s and Mater urogynaecology which he established as tertiary referral units in 1999.
Locally he is the immediate past president of the Queensland Continence Foundation, member of the RANZCOG Urogynaecology committee and Secretary of Australian Gynaecology Endoscopy Society. Internationally he is the lead author of the Cochrane review into the surgical management of the prolapse, and a member of the ICI committee on the surgical management of prolapse. From 2004 he is on the editorial board of the International Urogynaecology Journal and from 2008 is Chairman of the scientific committee of the IUGA.

Peggy A. Norton, M.D., Professor
Dr. Peggy Norton is a urogynecologist at the University of Utah. Her medical training and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology was at the University of Oregon, and she completed her fellowship in Urogynecology at University College London, St. George’s Hospital in 1988. Since that time, she has been in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was granted tenure in 1995, promoted to professor in 2005, and has served as chief of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery since 1998.
She is a member of the International Continence Society (local planning committees 1998, 2009), the American Urogynecology Society (multiple offices, president in 2002), and the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons (president in 2006.) Dr. Norton was a panel member of the 1996 Urinary Incontinence Clinical Practice guidelines, produced by the U.S. Agency for Health Care Policy and Research. She has been a committee member for the International Consulation on Incontinence since 1998. Clinically, she is a busy referral surgeon and has won numerous teaching awards.
Synopsis area of interest: Dr. Norton has had continuous funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) since 1991. Her basic science interests have been in the role of collagen in the etiology of pelvic organ prolapse, and in role of genetics in pelvic floor disorders. She has been a principal investigator in the NIH funded Urinary Incontinence Treatment Network since 2001, and an investigator in the NIH funded Pelvic Floor Disorders Network since 2006.

Natarajan Rajamaheswari, MD, DGO, MCh, Professor
Dr. N.Rajamaheswari received her medical degree (MBBS) from the University of Madras in 1978. She received her Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DGO) from the same Institution i.e. Thanjavur Medical College. She received her Degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (MD) at Institute of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Madras Medical College in 1982 and joined as Tutor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Thanjavur Medical College. Then she did her masters in Urology (M.Ch 1983-1985) and worked for a year in General Surgery. Subsequently she was appointed as assistant professor and posted as Head of Department of Female Urology and Urogynaecology at Government Kasturba Gandhi Hospital, Madras Medical College from 1986 onwards. She started the Fistula ward in her Institution which serves as tertiary care centre for Fistula victims in India.
She is the first Gynaecologist to qualify in Urology in India and she has established the subspecialty of Urogynaecology in India. She is the only Professor of Urogynaecology in India and heads the only training centre for Urogynaecology in India. She is the Founder and President of Urogynaecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery Society of India.
Her main interest is on relieving women from urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse.

Peter von Theobald, MD, PhD, Professor
Peter von Theobald received his medical degree from the University of Paris in 1983, specialized in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the University of Caen (France, Normandy). He completed his Ph.D. at the Department of Biology of Paris , University Pierre et Marie Curie , in 1992. In 1987 he obtained a French specialist degree in Gynecology and Obstetrics, working as a consultant at the University Hospital of Caen. From 1989 and 1998, he was chairman of Gynecological Surgery at the university of Caen and is appointed as Professor of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the University of Caen, France since 1998.
He is a member of many international societies including the European Society for Gynecologic Surgery (founding member)and the International Uro Gynecology Association. He is reviewer for several journals including European Journal of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Gynecology and Obstetrics, American Journal of Gynecology and Obstetrics, International Urogynecology Journal.
SYNOPSIS OF AREA OF INTEREST: Prof. Von Theobald’s research interests : estrogen receptors in pelvic floor connective tissue and SERM, surgical implants in pelvic floor disorders. Prof. Von Theobald’s clinical interest concerns gynecologic surgery : laparoscopic advanced surgery and vaginal advanced surgery since 1985.
